STBM Graduation: Crossing Over the Threshold
Simchat Torah Beit Midrash proudly showcased 185 Central Florida students at their fall semester 2015 graduation service in beautiful downtown Clermont. The commencement ceremony took place this past Sunday where families flocked to celebrate their loved ones’ successful completion of ICTS classes. Nearly 350 people filled the Clermont Community Center. The atmosphere was alive with excitement as facilitators & friends commemorated the accomplishments of graduates in the program.
The graduation ceremony began with lively praise & worship and a commencement address by the college founder, Rabbi Ralph Messer. Rabbi Messer choreographed a powerful demonstration of the Sabbath table depicting the parallel marriage relationship between husband & wife to Yeshua (Jesus) and His remnant bride. The students were admonished to continue to cross over the threshold in their pursuit of a Biblical Hebrew lifestyle. The final service was an enlightening teaching about the biblical roots within Black History.
Simchat Torah Beit Midrash is a House of Study facilitating interfaith biblical discussions uniting diverse cultures worldwide. It is a community of Jewish and non-Jewish believers in Yeshua Hamashiach (Jesus Christ). The school strives to train serious Bible scholars to pursue the call to fulfill the Great Commission “… to make disciples of all the nations.” (Mt. 28:19)
The International Center for Torah Studies is an international vision of Rabbi Messer, its founder and principal teacher. The courses are offered all over Central Florida in centers located in Tavares, Lakeland, Lake Wales, Orlando, Wauchula, Tampa, Brandon, Melbourne, Orange City, Lake Panasofkee, and Clermont, Florida. The discipleship program fosters college level courses, including online Biblical studies available exclusively through the STBM website, www.Torah.tv. Additionally, the Hebrew School for youth and young adults (Youth Yeshiva – Clermont Center) currently operates weekly in support of Rabbi’s vision.
The ICTS program services 12 centers in Florida with its home base in Clermont managed by Regional Director, Hope Medina. Each center houses state of the art classrooms and a Resource Center overflowing with Hebrew materials, Bible resources and curriculum. This past graduation is a testimony of the exponential growth and overall success of the ICTS program.
